Finding a Doctor that is accepting, nonjudgmental, and knowledgeable is difficult for members of communities that face large degrees of discrimination and stigma. Often individuals express frustration in receiving poor or inadequate support and care from their doctors, often causing them to not seek out medical support and ultimately impacting their physical and mental health.

It can be extremely challenging to navigate the health care system to find a doctor that is supportive. And often information is relayed between community members, so new community members, or those whose health needs change are often forced to feel out their best fit on their own.

This form is developed to enable people to communicate their experiences with doctors in the Lethbridge Area, helping to create a list of supportive doctors for community members to access. Please look under the Find a Doctor page for the current list. As well, from the information submitted, doctors who are wanting to provide support but are facing challenges in navigating those spheres will be provided support in facilitating better health services for our community.
